Filipinos busted out that best singer in them at Nutriasia's green bus stop in bustling BGC during the Christmas season

It was the most wonderful time of the year! And wherever people went, they saw it, felt it, smelled it, tasted it, and of course, heard it. Nothing said, “It’s Christmas time in the city!” quite like the angelic voices, joyful music, and heartwarming tunes that beautifully bombarded our ears, charmed us to sing, and compelled us to remember the child in the manager as he sleeps. Yes folks, “Ang Pasko ay sumapit, tayo ay magsiawit!”

Strategically nestled at the bus stop at 30th Street corner 9thAvenue at BGC, the NutriAsia EcoStation, outrageously adorned and decorated with sparkling lights, charming lanterns, and colorful artworks last December, showcased the first-ever holiday robotics attraction on a bus stop and the first caroling feature in BGC, all powered by solar energy. It was open from 2 pm to 9 pm every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until the 24th of December, and everyone was invited to sing their hearts out to the tune of timeless Christmas carols via everyone’s favorite, the karaoke, at the holiday season themed EcoStation.

CSMC pushes for more awareness on lung health and improving lifestyle as part of preventive care

Lung cancer is the second-most prevalent cancer in the Philippines, bringing about nearly 17,000 fatalities among Filipinos in 2020. This is likely due to the very large smoking population - 28% or 17.3 million Filipinos over 15 years old are smokers.

According to the Philippine Cancer Society, lung cancer does not stay contained to the lungs. “Lung cancer could also spread through the bloodstream and affect other parts of the body, such as the lymph nodes, and can metastasize in vital organs,” said Cardinal Santos Medical Center’s (CSMC) Section Head of Pulmonary Medicine and Lung Cancer expert, Dr. Percival P. Pangilinan.

Unfortunately, some signs and symptoms of lung cancer do not show at an early stage, making it hard to detect until the cancer is advanced. The main symptoms of lung cancer can include a long-term cough that worsens over time, persistent breathlessness, tiredness or fatigue, and coughing up blood.
