FEU boosts cross-cultural education, hosts US students

Far Eastern University (FEU), through its International Relations Office (IRO), reinforced its dedication to international collaboration by hosting a three-week Study Abroad Program of De Anza College, USA. Its aim was to introduce the Philippines’ enriching cultural and educational experiences to students from outside the country, thus bridging global gaps and fostering international understanding.

FEU-IRO hosted 15 students and 2 faculty members from the US college to experience life in the Philippines through guided cultural tours, diverse lectures, and community engagement activities. 

“We are thrilled to host De Anza College students in our transformative study abroad program. This partnership broadens perspectives and fosters meaningful connections between our institutions. By sharing Philippine culture with international students, we encourage them to enhance their global awareness while promoting our rich heritage," said IRO Director Driselle Pajuyo.

FEU nurtures next generation of Filipino teaching professionals

As part of the Teacher Training Caravan, a teacher engagement workshop on curriculum alignment, SOLO taxonomy, and outcomes-based assessment for student-centered learning is held at FEU Roosevelt Academic Affairs Office.

The need for more efficient teaching practice and professional teacher development take up a huge chunk of the Philippine education crisis conversation, as made evident in a 2023 World Bank report. This calls for education institutions to invest in programs and initiatives focused on equipping the next generation of Filipino educators.

FEU launches new healthcare programs to meet growing demand

Far Eastern University (FEU) is expanding its healthcare programs to address the growing demand for healthcare professionals in the Philippines. Starting this academic year 2024-2025, FEU Manila will offer a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, while FEU Cavite will introduce a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

According to the Department of Health, the Philippines currently lacks around 190,000 healthcare professionals.

With Far Eastern University (FEU) Alabang's partnership with Global Electric Transport (GET), an exclusive P2P route has been designated for the FEU Alabang community.

Far Eastern University (FEU) Alabang is proud of its collaboration with Global Electric Transport (GET), introducing sustainable mobility solutions for its student community. Through this partnership, FEU Alabang facilitates easier access to quality education while championing environmentally conscious transportation options.

As part of this initiative, FEU Alabang is included in COMET’s expanded Filinvest South route, facilitated by GET, COMET, or Community Optimized Managed Electric Transport, is a zero-emission, fast-charging electric minibus that can accommodate up to 30 passengers. Equipped with a wheelchair ramp, the vehicle is also accessible for people with disabilities.

FEU topbills 2019 Golden Kubeta Awards winners

Garners top marks in both physical audit and social media voting

Far Eastern University (FEU) emerged as the big winner in this year’s Golden Kubeta Awards (GKA), topping the Schools and Universities category and winning the People’s Choice Award with more than 10,000 social media votes. 

Joining FEU in the winners’ circle are the ParaƱaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) in the Terminals and Stations category, National Museum of Natural History in the Government Offices category, and Xentro Mall Polangui in the Malls and Restaurants category.
