Pawgrounds at Parqal: A Place for Pets, A Space for Shared Moments

Pawgrounds at Parqal offers a dedicated space where pets and their humans can enjoy time outdoors, play, and create shared moments.

For many Filipino fur parents, pets are more than just companions – they are part of the family. From morning walks and weekend strolls to spontaneous café runs, more pet owners are looking for places where they can enjoy quality time with their four-legged friends.

This sentiment is reflected in TGM Research's 2026 Pet Ownership & Lifestyle Insights, with 57% of Filipinos identifying their pets as family members, and around 54% spending more on pet-related products and services than the previous year, pointing to the growing role pets play in everyday life.

Fuel Quality 101: Why the Right Fuel Choice Matters in the Long Run

When taking care of their cars, motorists often prioritize changing their oil regularly, checking tire pressure, and scheduling maintenance checks. But there’s one thing they could overlook: the fuel they pump into their cars.

In reality, fuel choices can affect long-term engine performance, with each fuel product’s formulation and additives making all the difference. Here’s what motorists need to know about their fuel’s role on engine care and what to look for in their fuel options.

The Role of Fuel in Keeping Car Engines Clean

First, motorists should use the fuel recommended for their vehicle. This includes following the manufacturer's guidance on fuel type and octane requirements.

GAC’s All-New GN6: The Accessible MPV MVP For Filipino Families

Space, comfort, turbocharged performance, and Level 2 safety from ₱1.198 million.

Filipino families today have a wider range of mobility options than ever before. While some prioritize space and everyday versatility, others place greater importance on comfort, technology, performance, or accessible pricing. Ultimately, the right vehicle is one that responds to a family’s particular needs, lifestyle, and budget.

Recognizing these different priorities, GAC Philippines recently introduced its expanded MPV Family, comprising the All-New GAC GN6, GAC E8 HEV, and GAC GN8 PHEV Executive. Together, the three models provide distinct mobility solutions for families at different life stages and price points.

As the most accessible model in the lineup, the All-New GN6 is thoughtfully designed for family life. From easier cabin access and comfortable three-row seating to flexible cargo space, connected technology, and advanced driver assistance features, the GN6 brings together the qualities families use and appreciate every day.

Built on GAC’s more than 10 years of MPV engineering experience and over 880,000 MPVs delivered worldwide, the GN6 brings together the space, comfort, versatility, technology, and safety that Filipino families value. This well-rounded combination earns it a place among GAC’s “MPV MVPs.”

Here are five ways the All-new GN6 provides more care and value for every family:

1. Space designed around the whole family

A family MPV must accommodate more than passengers. It needs to adapt to school runs, daily commutes, family gatherings, grocery trips, weekend activities, and long journeys out of town.

Measuring 4,792 mm long and built on a 2,810 mm wheelbase, the GN6 provides comfortable seating for seven across three rows. Its cabin is arranged to give each passenger a more considered space, whether seated in front, in the second-row captain’s seats, or in the third row.

The independent second-row captain’s seats feature individual armrests, giving passengers a more comfortable and personal seating area. Easy cabin access also helps children, elderly family members, and passengers with limited mobility enter and exit the vehicle with less effort.

When more carrying capacity is needed, the third-row seats fold completely into the luggage floor to create a flat and practical cargo area. This expands cargo capacity from 324 liters to as much as 1,100 liters, allowing the GN6 to accommodate luggage, sports equipment, shopping, and other large items without requiring families to choose between passenger comfort and usable storage.

Dual-zone automatic climate control helps keep the cabin comfortable, while a PM1 air filter supports cleaner air circulation for everyone on board. A power sunroof adds to the open and welcoming feel of the interior.

Together, these features demonstrate how the GN6’s space is not simply measured in dimensions. It is designed around the different people, routines, and responsibilities that make up family life.

2. Family-focused Features

The GN6 gives Filipino families access to a combination of three-row space, comfort, technology, performance, and safety features in one vehicle.

At the center of the cabin is a large 14.6-inch touchscreen display, complemented by a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The two displays give the interior a clean, contemporary appearance while placing essential vehicle information and connectivity functions within easy view and reach of the driver.

Families also benefit from features that make everyday travel more comfortable and convenient, including the second-row captain’s seats, flexible fold-flat third row, dual-zone climate control, PM1 air filtration, and power sunroof.

Rather than focusing on equipment for its own sake, the GN6 brings these features together to support real family needs: keeping passengers comfortable, helping the driver stay informed, and allowing the cabin to adapt as plans change.

3. Turbocharged Performance for City and Highway Driving

Powering the GN6 is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 176.7 HP and 270 Nm of torque. It is paired with a seven-speed Wet Dual-Clutch Transmission, or 7WDCT.

This combination gives the GN6 the responsiveness needed for daily city driving, carrying a full complement of passengers, merging into faster traffic, and travelling on provincial roads. Its 270 Nm of torque provides useful pulling power when the vehicle is loaded with family members and cargo, while the transmission supports smooth and confident progress across different driving conditions.

The GN6 has a WLTC combined fuel-consumption rating of 7.22 liters per 100 kilometers, balancing its turbocharged performance with the everyday efficiency expected of a family vehicle.

4. Level 2 Advanced Assistance Safety for Greater Family Confidence

For a family vehicle, care also means supporting the driver and helping protect everyone inside.

The All-New GN6 GX is equipped with a comprehensive Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System, or ADAS. Its suite of driver-support technologies includes:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Traffic Jam Assist
  • Integrated Cruise Assist
  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Forward Collision Warning
  • Lane Keeping Assist
  • Lane Departure Warning

These features assist the driver in monitoring traffic conditions, maintaining the vehicle’s position, and responding to potential hazards. They are complemented by a high-definition 360-degree panoramic camera, which provides greater visibility when parking, navigating narrow streets, or maneuvering in confined spaces.

The result is added confidence not only on highways and long journeys, but also during the everyday driving situations Filipino families encounter most often.

5. Straightforward and Convenient Everyday Ownership

The GN6 is designed to fit easily into established family routines. Its gasoline powertrain allows quick and accessible refueling, whether the vehicle is used primarily within the city or for longer trips across the country.

Ownership is supported by GAC Philippines’ nationwide network of 30 dealerships, dedicated local parts warehouse, and two years of free roadside assistance. The GN6 also comes with a five-year or 150,000-kilometer vehicle warranty, whichever comes first.

GAC’s local parts warehouse helps maintain a stable supply of genuine components and supports faster service turnaround times. GAC dealerships also operate according to GAC Global Sales & Service Way standards, providing customers with consistent technical and aftersales support throughout the vehicle’s lifecycle.

The Bottom Line: An MPV that Puts Family Needs First

The All-New GN6 expands the choices available to Filipino families by offering a spacious, adaptable, and well-equipped seven-seater at an accessible price.

Its value is found not in any one feature, but in how its features work together: captain’s seats that make passengers more comfortable, fold-flat seating that creates room for changing family needs, a turbocharged engine that provides confident performance, and Level 2 ADAS that supports the driver on every journey.

Within GAC Philippines’ broader MPV Family, the GN6 provides a compelling choice for households looking for everyday versatility, useful technology, thoughtful comfort, and advanced safety features from ₱1.1981 million.

It is an accessible MPV designed to deliver more care for every family member.

Rainy days, hidden risks: Why year-round preventive care matters for dogs

As International Dog Day celebrates the bond between dogs and their families, it is a timely reminder to make year-round preventive care part of responsible pet ownership.

Persistent rains and flooding across communities make year-round preventive care more important than ever to keep dogs healthy and protected. These conditions can increase their exposure to parasites and other health risks, reinforcing the need for pet owners to stay proactive about their dogs' health.

This International Dog Day, Boehringer Ingelheim reminds pet owners that preventive care should not take a break when the rain comes. Keeping dogs protected through regular veterinary care, vaccinations, parasite protection, and good hygiene can help prevent health concerns throughout the year and support their overall well-being.

Why Smart Operations Are the New Competitive Advantage

Businesses are rethinking logistics as a growth engine, with operational intelligence emerging as the key to faster decisions, stronger customer experiences, and sustainable expansion

Logistics has largely been viewed as a function focused on moving goods efficiently from warehouses to customers. As businesses navigate complex operations across physical stores and online platforms, industry leaders say competitive advantage now hinges on how quickly organizations can understand and respond to their operational dynamics.

Across Asia-Pacific, operational complexity continues to grow. Research cited by the Supply Chain Management Association of the Philippines (SCMAP) found that delivery costs increased by 18.9% year-on-year, while 44% of operators still struggle with real-time shipment visibility. Although organizations have invested heavily in digital tools, only a small percentage have reached the point where intelligence actively drives operational decisions.

The Psychology Behind the Confidence Economy: Why Feeling Like Yourself Again Matters More Than Looking Like Someone Else

More Filipinos are redefining what it means to invest in themselves. According to multi-awarded aesthetic physician Dr. James Co, Architect of Aesthetic Confidence and founder of Cosma Institute, confidence has quietly become one of the most overlooked forms of self-investment, influencing how people communicate, pursue opportunities, and experience everyday life.

For decades, investing in yourself followed a familiar formula. People pursued higher education to advance their careers, exercised to improve their health, and invested in personal development to strengthen their skills. As conversations around wellness evolved, mental health, emotional resilience, and work-life balance also became essential parts of personal growth. According to Dr. James Co, another form of self-investment is quietly joining that conversation: confidence.

Is The MPV The New Family Car? GAC Thinks So And These 3 Models Prove It

For years, the midsize SUV has been the default choice for Filipino families looking for a spacious, versatile vehicle. Higher ground clearance, stylish designs, and seven-seat configurations made it an easy recommendation for everything from school runs to out-of-town adventures. However, buyer priorities are changing.

Today, many families are placing greater value on passenger comfort, cabin flexibility, everyday convenience, and efficiency as they navigate different stages of family life. New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) are also becoming an increasingly important consideration, as buyers explore electrified options that can help reduce fuel consumption without giving up the practicality they expect from a family vehicle.

These changing priorities are putting the modern Multi-Purpose Vehicle, or MPV, back in the spotlight. For GAC, however, an MPV has to do more than simply provide additional seating. It must be engineered around the people who use it, taking into account their comfort and safety, their changing needs, and the many different journeys they take.

When Medication Isn’t Enough: Understanding Resistant Hypertension

As conversations around hypertension continue to grow, health experts are calling for a shift from reactive management to more proactive care

Hypertension remains one of the leading health concerns in the Philippines. Despite wider access to medication, a growing number of Filipinos are still unable to keep their blood pressure under control, raising concerns among health experts about a more complex and under-recognized stage of hypertension.

With one in three adults, or an estimated 16.8 million Filipinos, living with high blood pressure, the gap between treatment and sustained control is becoming more apparent. Health experts are encouraging more consistent blood pressure monitoring and regular reassessment of treatment plans, particularly for patients who continue to experience elevated blood pressure despite medication. Gaps in awareness and follow-up care can delay the identification of patients who may require further evaluation, increasing their risk of long-term complications.

FedEx Simplifies U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission e-filing for APAC Businesses as New Requirements Take Effect

Six in ten APAC exporters are calling for centralized compliance guidance and digital documentation tools to keep U.S.-bound consumer product shipments moving

Federal Express Corporation, one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, is strengthening its support for Asia Pacific businesses, including the Philippines, as they prepare for the upcoming mandatory U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) e-filing requirements, set to take effect on July 8, 2026.

The new requirement mandates all U.S. importers of CPSC-regulated products to e-file the data elements needed for clearance at the time of entry into the United States. This is aimed at improving safety oversight and compliance transparency. U.S. importers of CPSC-regulated products must include the full CPSC PGA message set for each product imported. To streamline the process, importers may pre-file information about the product in CPSC’s Product Registry, which allows importers to transmit an abbreviated CPSC message set.  For Philippine exporters, this marks a significant shift in when that product information is made available, prior to shipment.

The end of “Tiis Ganda”?

Why more young women should refuse to normalize period pain

“Tiis ganda” has long been worn like a badge of honor—an everyday test of endurance where women are expected to look composed, stay productive, and push through discomfort as if it’s part of the job description. From long days at school or work to back-to-back responsibilities, it’s a quiet culture of kaya pa, even when the body is clearly asking for a pause.

But nowhere does this expectation feel more real than during menstruation. Period pain becomes another layer of “tiis”—the kind that can turn reviewing for an exam, finishing a presentation, or even simply getting out of bed into a full-on challenge.

Yet despite how common it is, menstrual pain is still often brushed off as something to simply endure. Somewhere along the way, women were made to believe that suffering in silence is just part of being capable and productive. But when did pain become part of the honor roll checklist?

mWell Addresses the Growing Need for Accessible Mental Health Care for Filipinos

An all-in-one telehealth platform empowering Filipinos to care for their mind and body at every stage of their wellness journey

mWell, the Philippines' fully integrated digital healthcare platform by Metro Pacific Health Tech Corporation, gives voice to a truth many Filipinos know but rarely say out loud: sometimes, the happiest-looking person in the room is fighting the hardest battle alone.

Mental health stigma in the Philippines remains a significant barrier to care. Rooted in cultural expectations of resilience, mental health struggles are too often misread as weakness, pushing individuals to suffer quietly rather than seek the help they deserve. Deep-seated values like hiya and pakikisama compound the silence, as many fear bringing embarrassment to themselves or their families by admitting they are not okay. In the workplace, the stakes feel even higher: about 75% of Filipinos believe that disclosing mental health concerns compromises their professional opportunities, the highest rate among ASEAN countries, according to the International Labor Organization. And for many, the cost of professional mental health support remains the final barrier.
