FedEx Delivers Globally for the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world's largest express transportation companies, successfully delivered over 20,000 pounds of hot air balloons and drones from Asia, Canada, Europe, Latin America, and the United States for the 26th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF). This year’s event, themed "A Weekend of Everything that Flies" took place from February 13 to 15, 2026, at New Clark City in Tarlac. 

"The Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is all about imagination taking flight, and we’re proud that FedEx helped make that magic possible," said Maribeth Espinosa, managing director, FedEx Philippines. "Our global network, specialized freight solutions, and skilled teams ensured that more than 20,000 pounds of oversized balloons and drones moved safely across multiple continents and arrived on time in perfect condition. This is the reliability and precision our customers rely on every day."

FedEx Study Affirms Sustainability is a Business Imperativefor APAC Supply Chains

80% of APAC businesses indicate that sustainability is increasingly influencing their supply chain decisions

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world's largest express transportation companies, shared key findings from its Asia Pacific (APAC) survey of consumers and businesses on sustainability and cross-border trade, highlighting emerging areas of focus for businesses across the region. 

The survey shows that 80% of APAC Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) consider environmental concerns when trading with Europe, with sustainability playing a bigger role in logistics decisions. Southeast Asian markets are leading this trend, with over 55% of SMEs in Malaysia and Indonesia prioritizing sustainability in their supply chain choices. This highlights rising awareness and action on environmental issues among businesses and consumers in the region.

FedEx Appoints Salil Chari as President of Asia Pacific

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world's largest express transportation companies, has announced the appointment of Salil Chari as the new president of its Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

Salil Chari, previously senior vice president of Marketing and Customer Experience APAC, FedEx, assumed his new role on January 1, 2026. He succeeds Kawal Preet, who has transitioned to a new role as executive vice president (EVP), Planning, Engineering, and Transformation.

As regional president, Chari is responsible for the shaping strategic direction of the business and leading a team of nearly 30,000 across APAC to drive profitable growth, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and advance operational excellence throughout the region.

“I am excited to welcome Salil as the new president of Asia Pacific, marking an exciting new chapter for our APAC business,” said Richard W. Smith, chief operating officer, international and chief executive officer, airline, FedEx. “Salil brings exceptional multi-regional leadership experience and a passion for delivering value to customers. FedEx Empowers Filipino Textile MSMEs with Global Trade Masterclass

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, collaborated with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to deliver the FedEx Masterclass for Philippine textile Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), equipping them with the knowledge and tools to expand their global footprint.

The learning series, held on December 3, 2025, in Taytay, Rizal, was attended by 33 MSME businesses. The sessions leveraged the global logistics expertise of FedEx, covering import and export fundamentals, including creating air waybills, document requirements, proper packing of textile shipments, and shipment tracking.

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world's largest express transportation companies, released insights from a recent survey exploring trends and sentiment around the year-end festive shopping season among businesses and consumers across Europe and Asia Pacific (APAC).

Conducted in September 2025, the survey gathered insights from 850 small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and 850 consumers across 13 APAC markets, along with over 1,200 SMEs across 9 European markets. It examines business expectations for the holiday gifting season and highlights customer preferences and concerns.

FedEx Provides Essential Aid to Cebu Calamity Victims

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world's largest express transportation companies, provided critical relief supplies to support 200 families affected by the recent calamities that struck San Remigio and surrounding areas in Cebu.

The 6.9-magnitude earthquake, one of the strongest recorded in Cebu, displaced over 200,000 families and caused damages worth almost PHP13 billion (over USD 257 million) to property and infrastructure.

FedEx Boosts Holiday Shipping Convenience with Expanded FedEx Authorized ShipCenters Network

Federal Express Corporation, one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, is making holiday shipping more convenient and accessible for Filipinos by expanding its FedEx Authorized ShipCenters network.  

The new 2GO branch at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Road in Parañaque City will now be operating as a FedEx Authorized ShipCenter, bringing total nationwide access points to 290 2GO stores, 18 IPX outlets, and 23 Airspeed locations. 

The FedEx Worldwide Service Center is temporarily relocating its operations to Asinan 2A-3, SM Asinan Warehouse Complex, La Huerta, Parañaque City continuing serving customers during facility upgrades in Pasay City.

Through an extensive network of local service locations and collaborative channels, customers can easily access FedEx international delivery services, simple return options, and streamlined e-commerce solutions, helping e-retailers, MSMEs, and individual shippers manage holiday demand with greater reliability, comfort and speed across the country.

FedEx Launches New Import Tool in the Philippines to Streamline Operations and Enhance Efficiency for Local Businesses

FedEx launches its new Import Tool in the Philippines to simplify and streamline cross border trade through automation and enhanced visibility while reducing manual work on customs and compliance.

Federal Express Corporation, one of the world's largest express transportation companies, has launched the FedEx Import Tool, an innovative solution that uses advanced technology to address the increasing complexities of international trade in the Philippines. This automated single-window solution will transform the import process and provide greater visibility on the overall end-to-end experience for importers, making imports simpler and more efficient. 

Currently available for customers in Australia, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, this tool helps reduce manual efforts in tasks such as customs documentation and regulatory compliance. The rising demand for foreign goods and materials is evident in the Philippines, where imports from January to April 2025 totalled 42.78 billion dollars, marking a 5.6% increase from 40.53 billion dollars in the same period last year.1 The FedEx Import Tool will soon be rolled out to additional APAC markets including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and New Zealand.
