FedEx Launches New Import Tool in the Philippines to Streamline Operations and Enhance Efficiency for Local Businesses

FedEx launches its new Import Tool in the Philippines to simplify and streamline cross border trade through automation and enhanced visibility while reducing manual work on customs and compliance.

Federal Express Corporation, one of the world's largest express transportation companies, has launched the FedEx Import Tool, an innovative solution that uses advanced technology to address the increasing complexities of international trade in the Philippines. This automated single-window solution will transform the import process and provide greater visibility on the overall end-to-end experience for importers, making imports simpler and more efficient. 

Currently available for customers in Australia, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan, this tool helps reduce manual efforts in tasks such as customs documentation and regulatory compliance. The rising demand for foreign goods and materials is evident in the Philippines, where imports from January to April 2025 totalled 42.78 billion dollars, marking a 5.6% increase from 40.53 billion dollars in the same period last year.1 The FedEx Import Tool will soon be rolled out to additional APAC markets including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, and New Zealand.

This session aims to help Filipino businesses navigate the impact of the removal of the United States’ de minimis exemption and learn how to adapt to the new trade requirements.

The previous de minimis rule allowed goods valued at USD 800 or less to enter the U.S. duty-free, simplifying the export process for low-value shipments. 1 With the new policy changes in effect, the webinar will offer practical insights on maintaining compliance, managing costs, and sustaining cross-border operations.

FedEx Launches “Pasko Padala" Campaign to Streamline Holiday Shipping for Filipinos

Federal Express Corporation, one of the world's largest express transportation companies, is launching its Pasko Padala Campaign to help Filipino customers effectively manage their international shipping needs during the holiday season.

As part of the campaign, FedEx is offering Pamaskong Handog to BDO customers with a Kabayan Savings Account.  From now until December 31, 2024, Kabayan Savings Account holders will enjoy a 10 percent discount off shipping rates when using FedEx services at 2GO outlets by presenting their ATM card or Passbook.

FedEx Empowers the Next Generation through Educational Scholarship Program for Young Women in STEM

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE:FDX) and one of the world's largest express transportation companies, announced its collaboration with Zonta Club of Makati and Environs (Zonta) for the second consecutive year to empower women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) as part of the FedEx Cares program. 

FedEx donated over PHP1.9 million to Zonta’s Empowering Women Scholarship Program (EWSP), which supports marginalized women enrolled in engineering and science courses. The FedEx grant will benefit engineering students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines for the three-year educational program. The financial support covers expenses for transportation, food, school supplies, research materials for thesis projects, and graduation fees.

FedEx Helps Reforest Sierra Madre Mountain Range With Haribon Foundation

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and one of the world's largest express transportation companies, through its global community engagement program FedEx Cares, collaborated with Haribon Foundation to reforest Mt. Batolusong in the south end of the Sierra Madre Mountain range.  

FedEx held a tree planting activity on November 18 at Brgy. San Andres in Tanay, Rizal where 40 FedEx volunteers worked together to plant over 1,000 seedlings of indigenous trees.
