FedEx Supports 2,400 Filipino Students with Hygiene Kits To Boost Health and School Readiness

Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world’s largest express transportation companies, collaborated with international non-profit Feed the Children to address health challenges by donating hygiene kits to 2,400 grade school children from fishing and farming communities in Bohol and Zamboanga del Norte.

This initiative is part of FedEx Cares, the company’s global community engagement program, and aims to improve the health and well-being of Filipino students ahead of the upcoming school year. A total of 14 FedEx employees supported the effort by assembling and delivering the kits, which include soap, shampoo, face towels, toothbrush and toothpaste - helping children maintain proper hygiene and stay focused on their education.

FedEx team members unite to deliver care and essential supplies through the annual FedEx Cares Purple Tote Campaign

Demonstrating unwavering commitment to community support, over 900 team members from Federal Express Corporation (FedEx), one of the world's largest express transportation companies, dedicated over 750 volunteer hours to collect and donate nearly 2,500 kilograms (over 5,500 pounds) of essential supplies for those in need, representing a 13% increase in volunteer participation compared to the previous year. These efforts have benefited over 350 individuals, including young children, the elderly, and underserved groups, through collaboration with more than 15 non-profit organizations (NGOs).

FedEx Empowers the Next Generation through Educational Scholarship Program for Young Women in STEM

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE:FDX) and one of the world's largest express transportation companies, announced its collaboration with Zonta Club of Makati and Environs (Zonta) for the second consecutive year to empower women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) as part of the FedEx Cares program. 

FedEx donated over PHP1.9 million to Zonta’s Empowering Women Scholarship Program (EWSP), which supports marginalized women enrolled in engineering and science courses. The FedEx grant will benefit engineering students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines for the three-year educational program. The financial support covers expenses for transportation, food, school supplies, research materials for thesis projects, and graduation fees.
