Caring for the Mind, Caring for the Body: OGAWA Marks Mental Health Awareness Month
Mental health is the foundation of our well-being. When our minds are well, our physiological condition benefits, too. To stay in optimal condition, it is imperative that we nurture our minds to build a strong foundation and maintain a healthy quality of life. OGAWA Philippines joins the country in commemorating National Mental Health Awareness Month, reinforcing its pledge to support holistic wellness and the importance of prioritizing our mental well-being.
“This October, OGAWA is celebrating Mental Health Awareness Month with the rest of the country. Our massage chairs and other wellness products are made for everyday use because we want people to integrate mental wellness into their daily lives. We hope that more people prioritize their mental well-being not just this month, but every day,” said Shey Agustin, marketing executive of OGAWA Philippines.
Beyond a healthy diet and an active lifestyle, massage chairs are a powerful tool for achieving mental fitness and clarity. OGAWA’s massage programs reduce stress levels by 60% and anxiety by 45%, according to a joint study by OGAWA and Universiti Sains Malaysia. The study shows that massage chairs provide more than a physical experience. They also provide mental relief and help alleviate daily pressures.

The Hair They Came For: Why Asian Hair Needs a Different Kind of Care
We’ve gotten pretty good at reading the labels on our skincare—checking the ingredients, understanding what our skin needs, and choosing products accordingly. Now, that same level of care is extending to hair, as consumers become more mindful of what goes into their haircare products and how those choices affect the health of their hair.
A 2025 study by the Journal of the Korean Society of Cosmetology found that consumers’ perceptions of hair-care products containing natural extracts can influence their purchasing behavior, reflecting a growing interest in what goes into the products we use. But when it comes to hair, the conversation goes beyond the bottle. It also starts with understanding the hair itself.
